ATSB Also Investigating Runway Incursion Involving RFDS King Air VH-FDG at Blackall Airport in February

Meanwhile, I also discovered that the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating a runway incursion involving a Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-FDG at Blackall Airport on Sunday 28 February.

The ATSB reports that "During the landing flare, the pilot observed an ambulance on the taxiway travelling towards the aircraft at high speed and initiated a go-around to avoid a collision. The aircraft subsequently landed without further incident."

VH-FDG was operating a med-evac flight into Blackall from Rockhampton.
