Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-210 Touches Down at Rockhampton Airport
The other Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) transport aircraft to grace the skies over Rocky on Friday 16 June was Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-210. It looked to complete some airwork overhead before it actually landed at Rockhampton Airport for a brief period of time.
It appears that the massive C-17 - which was flying as "Stallion 53" - departed RAAF Base Amberley for the North-West and completed airwork to the West of Rocky before landing on Runway 15 at Rockhampton Airport.
After looking to complete a crew change, A41-210 departed Rocky for Townsville.
Sincere thanks once again to local plane spotter 'IAD' for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
