A Nice Foursome of Local Bizjets Arrive into Hamilton Island Airport as Race Week Continues

As the Hamilton Island Race Week continues with some spectacular sailing action in the beautiful Whitsundays, on Thursday 23 August, a nice trio of locally-based bizjets were all noted calling into Hamilton Island Airport.

ANZA Aviation Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet N604AU was first to arrive into Hamo from Sydney.

Homada Pty Ltd Cessna 560XL Citation XLS bizjet VH-XCU was next to arrive into Hamilton Island from Melbourne (Moorabbin) via Melbourne (Essendon).

Rounding out the trio was Business Aviation Solutions Cessna 650 Citation VII bizjet VH-DHN which touched down from the Gold Coast.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday 22 August, the familiar sight of Balmoral Air Dassault Falcon 2000LX bizjet VH-WIO was also noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from Bankstown.

At the time of writing, all four bizjets looked to be staying on Hamo for at least the night.

Meanwhile, after arriving into Hamilton Island Airport on Monday 20 August, Gulf Aircraft Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-PYN departed back to Archerfield also on Thursday 23 August.

UPDATE!  N604AU returned to Sydney on Friday 24 August.

UPDATE!  VH-WIO returned to Bankstown on Saturday 25 August - but has returned to Hamo and departed back Bankstown yet again on Sunday 26 August.

UPDATE!  VH-XCU returned to Essendon and then Moorabbin on Sunday 26 August.

UPDATE!  VH-DHN returned to the Gold Coast on Monday 27 August.

Finally, also on Thursday 23 August, both LifeFlight (Aeromed) LearJet 45 bizjets VH-VVI "Ambulance 451" and VH-CXJ "Ambulance 452" were both in CQ.  VH-VVI flew into Mackay Airport from Townsville and later departed to Brisbane, while VH-CXJ called into Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport from Brisbane before departing to Rockhampton Airport and then returning to Brisbane.
