An Update on Hevilift Australia (Fixed Wing Division) ATR 42-320 VH-YWH Charters to CQ Airports - Plus ATR 72-500 VH-FVM Set to Return to the Skies Soon!

We've been sent a couple of recent photos of Hevilift Australia (Fixed Wing Division) ATR 42-320 VH-YWH at Moranbah Airport after it had arrived into the mining town from Brisbane on a closed charter flight.

Research reveals that the Hevilift ATR 42 continues to complete regular closed Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights into various CQ towns each week.

VH-YWH completed flights to Biloela / Thangool Airport (believed to be on behalf of Evolution Mining) from Brisbane via the Sunshine Coast on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

On Tuesday, VH-YWH flew into Middlemount Airport from Brisbane before then flying to Biloela / Thangool Airport and back to Middlemount Airport before it returned to Brisbane.

Finally, on Friday, VH-YWH completed a flight from Brisbane to Moranbah Airport and back.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Hevilift's other ATR - former Virgin Australia ATR 72-500 VH-FVM - which is currently stored at Brisbane, it due to take the skies once again as early as next week with a series of test and training flights expected over the coming days.

The race will be on to secure that first photo!
