A Couple of Bizjets Come and Go at CQ Airports

On Wednesday 19 December, a couple of familiar corporate bizjets were noted coming and going at various Central Queensland Airports.

Most notable, the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY had a busy day and called into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville.  After a couple of hours on the ground, VH-SGY departed to Brisbane.

Of interest, VH-SGY had flown to Cairns from the capital late the previous day.

Meanwhile, after arriving the previous day, also on Wednesday 19 December, Mackellar Mining Equipment / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-MMC was noted departing Biloela / Thangool Airport heading back to its Sunshine Coast base.

Also calling into Bilo, also on Wednesday 19 December, Corporate Aviation Bell 429 Global Ranger helicopter VH-EQP was noted returning to its Southport base from Emerald Airport.  It also called into Wanella Station (near Coppabella).  VH-EQP had arrived into Emerald Airport via Biloela / Thangool Airport and Wanella Station on Monday 17 December.

Finally,  the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra VH-PSU was also noted visiting both Rockhampton and Mackay Airports during a busy day of flying out of and back to Cairns also on Wednesday 19 December.
