Recently Delivered Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-UQN First Visit to CQ at Emerald Airport - On a Diversion!

On Thursday 20 December, Alliance Airlines recently delivered Fokker F-100 jet VH-UQN was noted making its first visit to Central Queensland, arriving into Emerald Airport from Trepell operating a closed Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight as UTY881.

This flight usually flys directly to Brisbane from Trepell but on occasion diverts into Emerald Airport perhaps to take on additional fuel before continuing to the capital.

Of interest, Fokker F-100 VH-UQN was delivered to Alliance Airlines at Brisbane on Monday 26 November after it completed the final legs of its delivery flight from Europe via Kupang and Townsville - where I captured it departing for Brisbane.

VH-UQN entered service only this week on Monday 18 December and has looked to only complete Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) closed charter flights out of Brisbane and back to Trepell, Cloncurry and The Granites via Alice Springs.

The just over 27-year-old Fokker F-100 was registered VH-UQN to the airline in September 2018 and previously operated as OE-LVM with Austrian Airlines since 2006.  Prior to this, it operated with American Airlines and Jetsgo (Canada).

Of interest, Alliance Airlines also took deliver fellow Fokker F-100 VH-UQF also in Brisbane last Friday 14 December.
