A nice start to the month on Tuesday 1 December with UP Aviation (Victoria) Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express 6000 bizjet VH-UBH noted visiting a couple of Central Queensland Airports.

The sleek Global Express bizjet looked to arrive into Charleville Airport direct from Melbourne (Tullamarine) before then continuing to Miles Airport and the Toowoomba-West Airport.

VH-UBH then flew up to Rockhampton Airport where it appears to be spending the night.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 2 December, VH-UBH departed Rockhampton Airport for Townsville.

Meanwhile, another bizjet popping into the region, also on Tuesday 1 December, was Careflight (NT) Raytheon (Beech) 400A bizjet VH-EIG which arrived into Longreach Airport from Darwin before later departing to Sydney operating a medical evacuation flight as "Careflight 45".

Finally, a few slightly smaller light General Aviation (GA) visitors also noted visiting some CQ Airports on Tuesday 1 December included Air Gold Coast Beech 58 Baron VH-YDC which arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield before it then departed to Townsville.

Cirrus Design Corporation SR22T Generation 5 VH-YDA passed through Rockhampton Airport, arriving back from Townsville and departing to Boonah.  It had also passed through Rocky heading North to Townsville the previous day.

Ipswich-based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-PLE visited Bundaberg Airport from its Gold Coast base.

And Great Western Aviation Beech B200 VH-XGV made its weekly visit to my local Clermont Aerodrome, arriving from and later departing back to Brisbane.

While a couple of interesting 'different' helicopters noted on Tuesday 1 December included Stirling Helicopters newly registered Eurocopter AS350B3 Squirrel helicopter VH-EUM which flew up from the Sunshine Coast to their Dululu base via Bundaberg and Gladstone Airports.

While Rotorpower (New South Wales) Aerospatiale AS.350BA Squirrel helicopter VH-UTM arrived into Rockhampton Airport from the South then departed to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport.  It looked to have flown up from New South Wales the previous day.

UPDATE!  VH-UTM looked to return South on Saturday 5 December, with it noted passing through Rockhampton Airport and heading to Dalby.

  1. VH-UBH ALSO LANDED AT HERVEY BAY AIRPORT TODAY (3/12) APPROX just before midday. Highly unusual.
