And a Couple of RAAF Aircraft Did Missed Approaches at Rockhampton Airport Wednesday

As well as the Volga Dnepr Antonov AN-124 RA-82046 sitting on the ground at Rockhampton Airport, on Wednesday 19 November, a couple Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft overflew Rocky, conducting missed approaches on Runway 33.

RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-208 was first heard performing a missed approach and then departing to the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) as "Stallion 54".  The C-17 was closely followed by RAAF Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-004, which local plane spotter Kayanne H captured shortly before it commenced its overshoot.

A39-004 was flying as "Dragon 25" and it appeared to depart to the North.

Thanks to Kayanne for sending through these great photos!
