Some Comings and Goings at Hamilton Island Airport

A few movements so far this week in and out of Hamilton Island Airport have included the departure of two bizjets and a break-down of a QantasLink Dash-8-Q300 from Cairns.

Dick Smith Adventures Cessna 525B CitationJet CJ3 bizjet VH-MIF departed Hamo on Monday 24 November to Bankstown, while Homada Pty Ltd Cessna 560XL Citation XLS bizjet VH-XCU departed Hamo on Tuesday 25 November to Essendon and then Moorabbin.

Also, touching down again at Hamilton Island on Tuesday 25 November was Agile Aviation (of South Australia) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-TCP which arrived from Adelaide.

Meanwhile, it appeared that on Monday 24 November, QantasLink had a serviceability problem with one of their Dash-8-Q300s.  After arriving from Cairns as QLK2503, the operating aircraft did not return to Cairns.  Dash-8-Q400 VH-LQK was then positioned to Hamo and operated the return QLK2504 to Cairns.

Finally, back on the mainland at Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airport, Jetstream Aviation's (Emprja P/L) bright and colourful Cessna 550 Citation II bizjet VH-VDF visited from the Sunshine Coast on Sunday 24 November.  It seems to be planned to visit again on Wednesday 26 November.
