Exercise Wallaby 2014 Pack-up Continues at Rockhampton Airport with an Antonov AN-124 Expected to Touch Down Wednesday

With the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2014 over for another year, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) equipment that has been resident at Rockhampton Airport for the past couple of months is being prepared for departure back to Singapore.

Of the RSAF helicopters, six Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS332M Super Puma helicopters have departed back to Oakey, while the other helicopters have been noted with rotor-blades removed and engine covers ready for uplift.

Information suggests that there is a good chance Volga-Dnepr Antonov An-124-100 RA-82046 - which is currently parked at Cairns - will touch down at Rockhampton Airport early on Wednesday 19 November to start taking the two RSAF Boeing CH-47SD Chinook and Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters 'home'.  It is expected that the Antonov will make two trips to Rocky.
