Exercise Wallaby 2015 - Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Super Puma Helicopter '272' "Starling 72" at 'Warrior Camp' Rockhampton Friday

Local plane spotter 'IAD' spent a great lunch hour at Rockhampton Airport on Friday 23 October, capturing a nice variety of airborne action the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2015 continues.

In this post we share some of his photos of Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS332M Super Puma helicopter '272' which positioned from its parking spot beside Runway 04/22 at Rockhampton Airport over the road to 'Warriors Camp' - the RSAF's landing ground inside the Australian Army Defence Support Group (DSG) 'Camp Rocky'.  The Super Puma was heard to use the radio callsign "Starling 72".

And it certainly made a very spectacular and very dusty arrival into 'Warriors Camp'!

After a short time on the ground, '272' departed to the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

Of interest, shortly after the Super Puma departed, one of the five RSAF Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters lifted off from its parking position and performed several hover drills around 'Warriors Camp' which 'IAD' captured on video.
