Skydive Saipan Cessna 208 Caravan N208CJ Diverts to Rockhampton Airport with Possible Emergency - ex VH-TLH

During the afternoon on Friday 22 March, a surprise arrival into Rockhampton Airport was recently registered Skydive Saipan Cessna 208 Caravan N208CJ.

The Caravan was flying from Cairns to Redcliffe and reportedly diverted to Rocky with a technical problem - possibly relating to inaccurate fuel indications.

N208CJ was parked outside the Peace Aviation hangar on the General Aviation (GA) side of Rockhampton Airport and looked to be closed up for the night.

As mentioned, the Caravan has only just been registered to Skydive Saipan and previous operated in Australia as VH-TLH until is was sold earlier this month.  VH-TLH had operated with Toll Freight Aviation and then in Western Australia with Broome Air Services.

UPDATE!  N208CJ departed Rockhampton Airport for Redcliffe mid-morning on Saturday 23 March.

Sincere thanks to local photographer Russell P for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
