A Pair of RAAF Alenia C-27J Spartan Transport Aircraft Complete Airwork at CQ Airports - A34-004 "Kaos 40" & A34-008 "Kaos 41"

On Friday 15 September, a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Alenia C-27J Spartan transport aircraft were noted and spotted completing airwork at a couple of Central Queensland Airports.

Spartan A34-004 as "Kaos 40" flew up from RAAF Base Amberley to airwork and then landing at Bundaberg Airport before then heading up to Rockhampton Airport where it landed for a short time.

Fellow Spartan A34-008 as "Kaos 41" followed the same path also flying up from Amberely via airwork and landing at Bundaberg Airport and then landing at Rockhampton Airport.

Both aircraft then wanted to do circuits at Rockhampton Airport but Air Traffic Control (ATC) wouldn't let them both operate at the same time.  Consequently, as A34-008 "Kaos 41" landed, A34-004 "Kaos 40" took off to do two touch and go's at Rocky and then departed to Mackay Airport, Cairns and Townsville.

Later, A34-008 "Kaos 41" then took off from Rocky to complete three touch and go's then also flew to Mackay Airport and then Townsville.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
