Skytrans Airlines to Start Flying to Gladstone Airport and Others

It has been reported recently in the Toowoomba Chronicle that Skytrans Airlines has announced plans to operate regular passenger (RPT) flights out of Toowoomba Airport using their fleet of Dash-8 aircraft.

Proposed daily flights to Sydney, Roma and Gladstone were announced, and are due to commence by January 2012.

Despite the new Skytrans services being largely targeted to business and industry personnel, the announcment for these services is seen as the first step to further connecting Toowoomba with the rest of the country. The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce stated that regular services have been long overdue and will certainly open up a plethora of opportunities for the city.
