Singapore Airlines to Rockhampton Airport Tuesday Night as Exercise Wallaby Pack-up Starts

Information has come through that a Singapore Airlines Boeing B777-200 should arrive into Rockhampton Airport late on Tuesday 20 November.  Arrival is expected at around 8.40pm.

The Singapore Defence Force Military Exercise Wallaby 2012 is drawing to a close, and this flight marks the beginning of the final 'wave' of charter flights that will depart Rockhampton Airport for Singapore.

Later this week more Singapore Airlines flights are expected, along with at least one Air New Zealand-operated flight, which is also expected to be a B777-200.

Also, Rockhampton Airport plane spotters have noted that the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters have started to have their rotar blades removed, after finishing their flying sorties on Monday 19 November.  Information suggests that an Antonov AN-124 freighter should touch down at Rockhampton Airport early next week - possibly early on Sunday 25 November.
