A Couple of Other Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Visitors at Rockhampton Airport

As well as the Australian Army Eurocopter ARH Tiger helicopters visiting on Wednesday 8 May, Rockhampton Airport has also played host to a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Pilatus PC-9/A trainer aircraft this week.

Local plane spotter 'IAD' has sent through a couple more images of these little trainers - A23-031 in foreground and A23-020 behind - that are operated by 4 Squadron out of Williamtown in New South Wales.

Also on Wednesday 8 May, RAAF Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-005 was captured by 'IAD' flying low over Rockhampton city, before it conducted a missed approach on Runway 15 at Rockhampton Airport.  It was heard to use the radio callsign "Dragon 15".

It should also be noted that on Monday 6 May, fellow RAAF KC-30A A39-004 was noted also conducting a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport after dark.  It was heard to use the radio callsign "Dragon 10".

On Tuesday 7 May, RAAF Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail AEW&C A30-003 was heard to conduct a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport around lunch time using the callsign "Wedgetail 03".

And lastly, also on Tuesday 7 May, a RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III - possibly A41-211 - was spotted conducting a missed approach at Maryborough Airport.
