Bizjet Action at Rockhampton Airport This Week as Pel-Air Aviation IAI Westwind 1124 Bizjet VH-KNS Touches Down

As I write this post, Pel-Air Aviation IAI Westwind 1124 bizjet VH-KNS has touched down at Rockhampton on Sunday 5 May.  The Westwind was seemingly operating for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and was noted using the callsign "Sentry 23".

Stay tuned to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog for some photos of VH-KNS in the coming days!

Meanwhile, the bizjet action at Rockhampton Airport this week was highlighted by Business Aviation Solutions Dassault Falcon 20F-5 VH-PNY which seemed to operate a crew training flight into Rockhampton from the Gold Coast and Bankstown on Thursday 2 May.

However, this wasn't the only crew training flight to arrive into Rockhampton Airport this week, with some more Singapore Flying College Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjets popping in over the latter part of the week.

On Thursday 2 May, VH-SQY and VH-SQJ touched down twice as they flew from the Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton and onto Mackay, before later returning and departing back to the Sunshine Coast.  VH-SQY was also noted flying into Rockhampton on Saturday 4 May as well.

Lastly, locally-based Cessna 550 Citation II VH-JMK operated a series of local flights between Rockhampton and Biloela/Thangool Airport on Friday 3 May and Saturday 4 May.  Then on Sunday 5 May, VH-JMK operated a return flight from Rockhampton to Toowoomba.

A busy week in the beef city!
