A Pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Pilatus PC-9/A Trainers at Rockhampton Airport

Spotted early on Tuesday 7 May in the murky weather that has hit Rockhampton Airport over the last couple of days was a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Pilatus PC-9/A trainer aircraft.

Local spotter 'IAD' braved to rain to captured a couple of lovely images of the PC-9s - A23-031 in foreground and A23-020 behind.

The PC-9s are flown by the RAAFs 4 Squadron, based at Williamtown in New South Wales.

It is believed the PC-9s are participating in Australian Defence Force (ADF) training exercises in the nearby Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

Thanks to 'IAD' for the great photos in challenging conditions!
