Both LifeFlight (Aeromed) LearJet 45 Bizjets VH-CXJ and VH-VVI at CQ Airports - Plus Much More!

Early on Friday 11 November, LifeFlight (ex CareFlight Queensland) (Aeromed) LearJet 45 bizjet VH-CXJ "Ambulance 452" called into Mackay Airport from Townsville.  It presumably was operating a medical retrieval flight and departed some two-hours later to Brisbane.

Also, late on Thursday 10 November, fellow LifeFlight (ex CareFlight Queensland) (Aeromed) LearJet 45 bizjet VH-VVI "Ambulance 451" touched down at Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane.  After a short time on the ground it then departed to Emerald Airport.  After a short time on the ground, VH-VVI then departed to Gladstone Airport before it eventually returned to Brisbane.

Meanwhile, back at Mackay Airport, on Friday 11 November, locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ completed a return flight to the Gold Coast before then completing a return flight to Townsville.  A busy day!

Finally, a couple of interesting light General Aviation (GA) visitors to CQ over the last couple of days have included Interair (based at Essendon, Victoria) Piper PA-31 VH-FHJ which arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield earlier in the week, and on Friday 11 November, it was noted operating an aerial survey flight out and back to Rocky over Shoalwater Bay.

UPDATE!  VH-FHJ was in the air again on Saturday 12 November completing another aerial survey flight out and back to Rocky over Shoalwater Bay.

FURTHER UPDATE!  Fellow Interair-operated Cessna 404 Titan VH-TTZ also arrived at Rockhampton Airport also on Saturday 12 November following a 4-hour-plus flight from Cairns via survey work at Townsville and Mackay.

Visiting Barcaldine and Rockhampton Airports from its Toowoomba base on Friday 11 November was Austrek Aviation Cessna 310R VH-DZX, while the Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ visited briefly from Brisbane.

Also on Friday 11 November, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK returned to service operating prisoner transfer flights via Rockhampton Airport and Mackay and Townsville Airport twice during a busy day of flying that started and finished at Cairns.

And late on Thursday 10 November, McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Raytheon B200 King Air VH-NSN was spotted visiting Rockhampton Airport before it later departed Townsville.
