On Sunday 15 September, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules transport aircraft A97-450 was spotted completing airwork at Rockhampton Airport. It looked to arrive from the North and then complete a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.
The Herc then flew to Wondai Aerodrome where it completed more airwork before landing at RAAF Base Amberley.
A97-450 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Ausy 658".
Of interest, A97-450 "Ausy 658" was joined by fellow RAAF Herc A97-448 "Ausy 657" and heard to be flying over the top half of Cape York on Saturday 14 September.
