Four Astra Aerospace / Air Affairs (Australia) Learjet 35A and Learjet 36 Bizjets Depart Rockhampton Airport For Good!

They didn't stay long!

After two days of flying, on Wednesday 21 July, the four visiting Astra Aerospace / Air Affairs (Australia) Learjet bizjets departed Rockhampton Airport with their role in the joint Military Exercise Talisman Sabre 2021 (TS21) seemingly over.  They are pictured below departing Rockhampton Airport for the exercise area on Tuesday 20 July.

On Wednesday, Learjet 35A bizjets VH-SLE "Ajax 42", VH-VLJ "Ajax 43" and VH-LRH "Ajax 52" all departed to HMAS Albatross at Nowra while Learjet 36 bizjet VH-SLJ "Ajax 01" departed to Canberra and then Nowra.

The four LearJets are all flown by Astra Aerospace / Air Affairs (Australia) in a support role for the Australian Defence Force and arrived into Rocky on Sunday 18 July.

Over the last two days, they have completed 1-2 sorties each day, singularly or in pairs, using the radio callsigns of Bosun and Blackjack.

Sincere thanks to local photographer Steve V for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
