Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-001 Calls into Rockhampton Airport Yet Again

Late on Saturday 10 July, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-001 was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport yet again.  It had visited Rocky a couple of times over the previous week although n Saturday night, it arrived into Rockhampton Airport from RAAF Base Amberley but this time as "Dragon 46".

It taxied in and parked on Gate 6 on the Southern end of the Rockhampton Airport apron where personnel and their cargo were unloaded.  Information suggests the personnel and cargo brought to Rockhampton are once again for the upcoming joint Military Exercise Talisman Sabre 2021.

Once the offload was complete, the KC-30A A39-001 "Dragon 46" departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Amberley.

Sincere thanks to local photographer Steve V for allow us to share these great photos!
