RACQ-LifeFlight Kawasaki BK117 B-2 Helicopter VH-EHQ "Rescue 400" Returns 'Home' to Mount Isa via CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Friday 15 October, RACQ-LifeFlight Kawasaki BK117 B-2 helicopter VH-EHQ "Rescue 400" returned to its Mount Isa base after a couple of long days of flying back from Archerfield.  On Thursday 14 October, it flew up from Archerfield to the Sunshine Coast and then Bundaberg Airport.  On Friday, it departed Bundy and called into Biloela / Thangool, Emerald, Barcaldine and Winton Airports before landing back at Mount Isa after dark.

VH-EHQ "Rescue 400" had flown South from Mount Isa to the Sunshine Coast at the start of September where it underwent planned maintenance.  It then flew across to Archerfield later in the month for further maintenance.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 15 October, Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-WXB flew up to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Toowoomba-Wellcamp Airport and then back. 

East Coast Traffic Controllers' Cirrus SR22 VH-YJX departed my local Clermont Aerodrome for Gladstone and Sunshine Coast Airports.  It had arrived from the Sunny Coast the previous day.

Beech A36 Bonanza VH-ILG arrived into my local Clermont Aerodrome from Gympie before then departing to Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 16 October, VH-ILG flew back up to Emerald Airport from Archerfield.

Beech 58 Baron VH-CUY called into Mackay Airport from Cloncurry via Gregory Downs before then returning direct to Cloncurry.

And FKG Air (Redjet Aviation) Hawker Beechcraft B200GT VH-FKB visited Gladstone Airport from Toowoomba.

Finally, also on Friday 15 October, a couple of corporate bizets also around CQ Airports included Brisbane-based Adome P/L Cessna 525 CitationJet M2 bizjet VH-YWS flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from Archerfield. 

UPDATE!  On Sunday 17 October, VH-YWS departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Archerfield.

After a couple of busy days flying in and out of the Whitsundays (see Blog post below!), Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-SIY departed Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport for the Gold Coast and then the Sunshine Coast.

While Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-ILJ was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport from its Brisbane base.

And Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX flew up from Brisbane to Hamilton Island Airport before then flying down to Scone.  It later returned to Brisbane.
