More Rockhampton Airport Action with United States Air Force (USAF) Beech C-12J 86-0082 Touching Down

The military action at Rockhampton is certainly starting to heat up with a United States Air Force (USAF) Beech C-12J Huron (Beech 1900C-1) - serial 86-0082 - touching down from Cairns on Sunday 7 April.

This is certainly the first time that I've seen an example of this aircraft in Central Queensland, and Rockhampton Plane Spotter 'IAD' had a real treat in actually being able to see and photograph this rare visitor as it passed through.

86-0082 is reportedly based in South Korea, and was heard to be flying using the radio callsign "Cats 17".

What a beauty!

  1. 082 is actually an Army C-12J from RKSM. I have a little over 100 hours in this very plane. She was a beauty! Not sure if she is still there.
