A Visit by the Brisbane Broncos NRL Team Brings Alliance F-70 VH-QQX and Bizjets VH-LMP & VH-EXG to Moranbah Airport

A spectacular day at Moranbah with the Brisbane Broncos NRL team calling into the mining town for a series of school visits and coaching clinics on Thursday 5 February.  And the visit seemed to bring a triple-treat of nice jets to visit Moranbah Airport.

First to touch down was Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-QQX which touched down carrying the Broncos from Brisbane as UTY560.

Also touching down on Thursday was Shortstop Jet Charter British Aerospace BAe-125-1000B bizjet VH-LMP, along with Melbourne Air Holdings (Executive Airlines) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-EXG.

Both VH-LMP and VH-EXG were believed to have arrived from Melbourne (Essendon).  It looks like all three aircraft are still at Moranbah, with departure expected on Friday 6 February.  The Broncos play a game in Mackay over the weekend so it could be expected that VH-QQX will make the short hop across to the sugar city.

  1. It is not everyday that you get to see nice jets at the airport. Hence, my friends and I always make it a point to drop by the location if we have any inside news from the people working there should we be around the area. We are always at a storage facility nearby so it makes things much easier for us.
