Four Lighties Pass Through Hamilton Island Airport on a Flying Adventure South

I noted with interest that on Thursday 14 May, four light General Aviation (GA) aircraft that are based in the South-East corner of Queensland were scheduled to call into Hamilton Island Airport while seemingly flying 'home' from Far North Queensland.

The aircraft planned to arrive from Undara (near Cairns) and Ingham included Gold Coast-based Cessna 210-5 VH-RYB and Cessna 182 VH-MST, along with Flight One (Services) Cessna 172 VH-AFR and Darling Downs Aero Club Cessna 172 VH-TWB.

Of interest, the photo of VH-RYB above is from March this year - perhaps when it was heading North to Hamilton Island from the Gold Coast.

I also note that around this-time-last-year. a similar group of aircraft were also noted flying South from Hamilton Island.
