Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Bell 412EP VH-ESB "Rescue 521" Calls into Mackay Airport

Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Bell 412EP VH-ESB was noted calling into Mackay after performing a rescue at sea on Sunday 10 May.

The rescue chopper flew down from its Townsville Airport base in the wee small hours of Sunday to perform the rescue off Mackay before transporting the victim to Mackay Airport.  After transferring the victim and taking on fuel, VH-ESB departed home to Townsville Airport.

VH-ESB was noted to be using the radio callsign "Rescue 521".
