After arriving late last week, and then spending some time parked at Townsville, News Corporation Gulfstream Aerospace G-V-SP Gulfstream G550 bizjet N897NC called back into Hamilton Island before being noted departing home to Sydney on Tuesday 18 August.

UPDATE!  News Corporation's new Gulfstream Aerospace G-VI Gulfstream G650ER bizjet N898NC was believed to have called into Hamo on Friday 21 August from the South.  It later departed to Cairns where it looks to have been parked.

A couple of interesting light visitors to Hamo on Wednesday 18 August included Gulfstream Aviation Piper PA-31-350 VH-LGX, which looks to be on a tourist charter from its South Australian home through the Northern Territory and on to Hamo.  On Wednesday it arrived from Tennant Creek and Hughenden.  VH-LGX looks to have departed Hamo for Charleville on Thursday 20 August.

Departing Hamilton Island on Wednesday 18 August was Corporate Aviation Bell 429 helicopter VH-EQP which (as usual) departed to Gladstone and Southport, along with Brisbane-based Lancair IV VH-TDB which departed to Caboolture.

While making a rare visit to Hamo late on Wednesday was Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Bell 412EP VH-ESB as "Rescue 521" from Townsville.  It then departed to Mackay before returning to its Townsville base.

It's also worth noting that fellow QGAir Bell 412 VH-ESD, which is also based at Townsville, has been noted at Proserpine Hospital and Mackay Hospital over the latter part of this week as well.

Back at Hamo, on Thursday 20 August, Business Aviation Solutions Dassault Mystere Falcon 20-F5 bizjet VH-FAI was due to call in from Sydney and Bankstown.  I'm not 100% sure if it landed at Hamilton Island as VH-FAI was later noted departing Townsville for Brisbane and Bankstown.

Then on Friday 21 August, Trump Aviation / Australian Corporate Jet Centres 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-WFE touched down at Hamo from Melbourne (Essendon).

Finally, it's worth noting that on Monday 17 August Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 VH-VFX touched down at Hamilton Island after operating the scheduled JST846 from Sydney.  It then broke down and remained parked at the Airport for the night.  On Tuesday 18 August VH-VFX departed back to Sydney as JST7349.
