Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-QQX Spotted at Emerald Airport with Nova Radio Sticker

A nice surprise arrival into Emerald Airport on Friday 7 August was Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-QQX which was wearing additional stickers for a Sydney radio station event that was held late last week.

Nova FM's 'Kate, Tim & Marty' show took 20 lucky listeners on VH-QQX as they broadcast their radio show from high above Sydney last Thursday 30 July.

VH-QQX operated the evening UTY4066/4067 service from and back to Brisbane.  It turns out that it also called into Emerald on Thursday 6 August as well operating the same service - a flight we will take in a couple of weeks time!

Meanwhile, also calling into Emerald Airport on Friday 7 August was QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-LQF which I captured arriving from Brisbane as QLK2414.

A night fell, Toll Freight Aviation Metro 23 VH-HPE departed to Rockhampton on the first leg of the week-nightly TFX113 cargo run to Brisbane.

Meanwhile, parked on the Emerald Airport General Aviation (GA) apron was Flight One (Services) Cirrus SR22 VH-VGG which called in for the day from Archerfield.

Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-20 Islander VH-CWG looks to be operating out of Emerald Airport in recent days.

And finally, Advance Aviation Cessna 210 VH-TQC was captured resting quietly.  It was later joined by fellow Advance Aviation Piper PA-32R-301 VH-LPW and Beech 58 Baron VH-FLZ which both arrived into Emerald from Middlemount and Longreach respectively carrying freight for the Toll Freight Metro VH-HPE.

It was a nice afternoon and evening in Emerald!
