United States Navy (USN) Boeing C-40A Clipper (B737-7AFC) 166695 Calls into Rockhampton Airport as "Convoy 7424"

Another nice arrival into Rockhampton Airport very late on Wednesday 26 June as the build-up to joint Military Exercise Talisman Sabre 2019 (TS19) continued, was United States Navy (USN) Boeing C-40A Clipper (B737-7AFC) 166695 / 695.  It was photographed still parked on the Rockhampton Airport parking apron early on Thursday 27 June after spending the night.

The C-40A arrived into Rocky direct from Clark International Airport in the Philippines and was heard to using the radio callsign of "Convoy 7424".

166695 / 695 is flown by the US Navy's Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 56 (VR-56) "Globemasters" based at Naval Air Station, Norfolk, Virginia.

It is assumed that it will depart Rockhampton Airport later on Thursday 27 June.

UPDATE!  Indeed later on Thursday 27 June, 166695 departed Rockhampton Airport for RAAF Base Amberley again as "Convoy 7424".

Sincere thanks to local plane spotters 'IAD' and Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
