UPDATE! On Thursday 8 June, VH-EYJ was back in the region, completing a pair of flights out of and back to the Sunshine Coast, and looking to complete airwork around Kingaroy and Nanango.
While McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525C CitationJet CJ4 bizjet VH-PIY flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from the Sunshine Coast before it then flew down to Bundaberg Airport and then back to the Sunny Coast.
And MacKellar Mining Equipment Pty Ltd (Revesco Aviation) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-MMC flew up from the Sunshine Coast to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site. It then flew down to Emerald Airport. Later, VH-MMC returned to Labona and then back to the Sunny Coast.
Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 7 June, Hinterland Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-HLJ flew down from Cairns to Labona as Hinterland 120 then to Rockhampton Airport and then back to Labona as HND121/122 before it then returned to Cairns as HND615. Fellow Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TQV also looked to visit Labona from Cairns but as HND710/110.
Plus Fellow Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-ETF flew down from Townsville to Labona and then to Mackay Airport and back to Labona then returned to Townsville as HND280/1/2/3.
Aerlink (formerly Hevilift) ATR 72-500 turboprop VH-FVY looked to complete a flight from Brisbane and then Moranbah Airport to Mackay Airport and then back to Brisbane as HT729/718/719.
Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-300 VH-QQL departed Rockhampton Airport for Cairns as SKP791.
Finally, some interesting airline movements, also on Wednesday 7 June, included Qantas Freight (Pionair Australia operated) British Aerospace BAe 146-200QT VH-SFV was noted making two visits to Rockhampton Airport, first arriving from Brisbane and departing to Mackay Airport as QFA7421/2 (as per usual), but it then returned to Rockhampton Airport from Mackay Airport before then flying back to Brisbane as QFA7424/5.
While Virgin Australia (Alliance Airlines operated) Fokker F-100 VH-XWN was VOZ600 was flying from Mackay Airport to Brisbane but diverted into Rockhampton Airport a technical problem. It was later reported that the problem was with the tail.
Fellow Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-NKU looked to operate a charter into Rockhampton Airport on behalf of Virgin Australia to ferry the stranded passenger to Brisbane with it operating as VOZ9820/9532.
