RAAF Boeing B737-7DF(BBJ) A36-002 - Plus Bombardier Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-BLM - Visit Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport

A couple of surprise visitors to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport on Saturday 16 July included Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7DF(BBJ) A36-002.  It looked to touch down from Canberra via Coffs Harbour.

By the looks of it, this was another training flight for the RAAF VIP 34 Squadron aircraft from Canberra.  Local plane spotter Ben M popped out to Hervey Bay Airport and captured a couple of photos and a video as the BBJ departed a little while later for for Tamworth and then Canberra.

A36-002 was noted flying as "Envoy 18".

Meanwhile, another bizjet in the form of Business Aviation Solutions Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 VH-BLM was also noted visiting Hervey Bay Airport on Saturday 16 July.  It arrived from later departed back to its Gold Coast Airport base.

Finally, BAS Aviation Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH- KJD also called into Hervey Bay Airport on Saturday 16 July.  It touched down from Brisbane and is staying for the night with a scheduled departure for Balina / Byron Gateway Airport early on Sunday 17 July.

Sincere thanks to Ben for allowing us to share these great photos and video!
