Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-JFB Pops into Rockhampton Airport on School Holiday Run From Horn Island

Late on Friday 29 January, Alliance Airiness Fokker F-70 jet VH-JFB was noted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Horn Island as UTY563. It then departed to Brisbane still as UTY563.

VH-JFB had earlier flown up to Horn Island direct from Brisbane as UTY562.

We see these types of flights between Rocky and Horn Island quite regularly particularly around school holiday time prompting speculation that these flights ferry boarding school children between home in Far North Queensland and back to school at the conclusion of the school holidays.
