Local Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 Bizjet N142GZ Back in The Air out of Mackay Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 22 September, the locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ was back in the air, noted departing Mackay Airport for Brisbane.


After spending most of the day on the ground, N142GZ was spotted (above) arriving back into Mackay Airport from Brisbane.

Noted arriving into Mackay Airport, also on Wednesday 22 September, was Robindale Group (Bathurst) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-CMK.  It flew up from Orange and the Sunshine Coast. 

At the time of writing, it appears that VH-CMK is staying at Mackay Airport for at least the night.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 23 September, VH-CMK departed Mackay Airport and returned to the Sunshine Coast and then Orange - see Blog post above for a photo!

While very late on Tuesday 21 September, the familiar sight of Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-SIY was back at Mackay Airport.  It looked to arrive from the Gold Coast and depart to the Sunshine Coast.

Another familiar bizjet that also noted visited Central Queensland once again, also on Wednesday 22 September, was Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ which visited Rockhampton Airport twice during a busy day of flying between Archerfield and Townsville via Dalby and Rocky.

Avia Aviation (Victoria) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-MSU looked to arrive into Roma Airport from Burnie in Tasmania before then departing to the Sunshine Coast and Warwick.

And late in the afternoon, Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-ILJ arrived into Longreach Airport from Brisbane.  It has departed to Cairns and then later is due to return to Brisbane.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 22 September, Cloncurry-based Lorraine Pastoral P/L Cessna T206H VH-LPR departed Rockhampton Airport for Barcaldine Airport.  It had arrived from Hughenden on Monday 20 September.

Similarly, Sunshine Coast-based Rockwell International 114 VH-KSW departed Rockhampton Airport but for Hamilton Island Airport.  It also arrived at Rockhampton Airport on Monday but from Caboolture.

And Cirrus SR22 VH-YMI called into Rockhampton Airport from the Sunshine Coast before then departing to Hamilton Island Airport.

Finally, also on Wednesday 22 September, Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Metro 23 VH-VEK was again noted visiting Rockhampton Airport.  It flew up from and then returned to Brisbane.
