Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 Spotted at Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 17 July, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 as "Dragon 34" departed RAAF Base Amberley and flew out to the East of Brisbane and flew two laps before heading up to Rockhampton Airport.  It landed and parked on Taxiway Juliet for a crew change.

It then departed to the South.

Of interest, the KC-30A then met up with Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft A41-208 as "Stallion 50" just west of Gayndah and completed air-to-air refuelling to a position to the South-West of Roma before they both flew down to Amberley separately.

Finally, it's worth noting that late on Monday 15 July, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Alenia C-27J Spartan transport aircraft A34-010 as "Wallaby 54" completed airwork at the Sunshine Coast and then Bundaberg Airport while on a flight out of and back to RAAF Base Amberley.
