The Globemaster flew out of RAAF Base Amberley as "Stallion 04" and operated with one of the visiting Italian Air Force Boeing KC-767A aircraft currently deployed to Amberley as a part of Exercise Pitch Black 24.  It was heard to fly as "Knight 08" and both the C-17 and KC-767A flew together until near Roma where the C-17 turned back towards Bundy.  After completing airwork at and around Bundaberg Airport, A41-212 "Stallion 04" returned to Amberley.

Meanwhile, the KC-767A "Knight 08" continued on its way to participate in Exercise Pitch Black 24 in the Northern Territory.
