A Couple of Cancelled Virgin Australia Flights Sees Townsville Flights Divert to Rockhampton and Mackay Airports

A couple of interesting diversions by Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-VUQ over the course of an evening and next morning as a result of cancelled flights to both Rockhampton and Mackay Airports.

Late on Friday 17 March, VH-VUQ was operating as VOZ383 from Brisbane to Townsville and diverted via Rockhampton Airport to accommodate passengers from the earlier cancelled VOZ1253 Brisbane to Rockhampton service.

Then early on Saturday 18 March, while flying back South, VH-VUQ now operating as VOZ362 from Townsville to Brisbane, diverted via Mackay Airport early in the morning to accommodate passengers from the cancelled VOZ600 Mackay to Brisbane service.
