Flying as "Consort 59" the Challenger was forced to land at Hamilton Island Airport due to the Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport still being out-of-action.

The Governor General was ferried to the mainland via an Australian Army helicopter and landed in Proserpine to inspect the damage inflicted in the Whitsundays by Tropical Cyclone Debbie during the last week.

Once Mr Cosgrove returned to Hamo, A37-001 returned to the South.

Meanwhile, also noted departing Hamilton Island Airport on Friday 31 March was Henty Aviation Cessna 425 VH-BSM.  At the time of writing, its exact movements are not known.
