Flight One (Services) King Air VH-FON - Plus a Few More Seair Cessna 208 Caravan FIFO Charters - At Theodore and Biloela / Thangool Airports

On Wednesday 15 March, Flight One (Services) Beech B200 King Air VH-FON, called into Theodore Airport from its Archerfield base and Brisbane.

After staying for the night, VH-FON returned to Brisbane and then Archerfield on Thursday 16 March.

Of interest, VH-FON was noted calling into Gladstone Airport on Monday 13 March.  It arrived from and later departed back to Archerfield.

UPDATE!  Research reveals that VH-FON seems to be operating into Theodore Airport every week, calling in from Archerfield and Brisbane on a Wednesday afternoon and returning there Thursday morning.  Perhaps a new Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter run?

Meanwhile, there has been some recent charters into Theodore Airport operated by Seair Pacific / Istlecote Cessna 208 Caravans.  Over the course of last Tuesday 7 March to Thursday 9 March, VH-LYT and VH-OZH looked to operate into Theodore each day arriving from and departing to either Brisbane or Biloela / Thangool Airport.

As we have reported in the past, Gold Coast-based Seair Pacific / Istlecote operates almost daily FIFO charter flights to Theodore mostly from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, reportedly under contract by Australian gold company, Evolution Mining, for its workforce at the nearby Cracow Mine.
