As a part of the relief efforts in the wake of severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie, during the afternoon on Thursday 30 March, RACQ LifeFlight Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-VPL was noted arriving into Mackay Airport from Brisbane.

For the first time, VH-VPL was noted using the new LifeFlight radio callsign of "Ambulance 680".
In the early evening, VH-VPL returned to Brisbane.
UPDATE! Early on Friday 31 March, VH-VPL called into Longreach Airport from Brisbane. It looked to be operating a med-evac flight and returned to Brisbane a couple of hours later. VH-VPL then flew North back to Mackay Airport. About 30 minutes later, it departed back to Brisbane.
