Exercise Talisman Sabre - Three Australian Army Boeing Ch-47F Chinhook Helicopters A15-302, A15-310 & A15-312 (First Visit) "Patriot" Call into a Wet Rockhampton Airport

On Monday 24 July, three Australian Army Boeing CH-47F 'Foxtrot' Chinook helicopters were spotted passing through a very wet and rainy Rockhampton Airport while heading South from Townsville.

They were identified as A15-302, A15-312 and A15-310 and were heard to fly together as "Patriot". 

After some time on the ground, all three continued down to the Oakey Army Aviation Centre.

Of interest, this is the first time we have seen A15-312 in the region after it was delivered to the Australian Army in Townsville in July 2021 from US Army Stocks via the USAF C-5M Galaxy 85-0004.  It is one of four 'additional' Chinook helicopters that have entered service with C Squadron, 5th Aviation Regiment, in Townsville.
