Omni Air International Boeing B767-200(ER) N225AX Pops into Rockhampton Airport Ahead of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023

During the evening on Wednesday 12 July, Omni Air International Boeing B767-200(ER) N225AX was photographed as it arrived into Rockhampton Airport after flying up from RAAF Base Amberley as OAE442. It had earlier flown across from Honolulu, Hawaii.

Several local plane spotters were on hand and captured some great photos as the B767 touched down and then parked on Gate 6 on the Southern end of the Rockhampton Airport parking apron.

After unloading what looked like a full flight of personnel and their bags, N225AX sadly didn't remain on the ground for long, as it departed a couple of hours after its arrival for Brisbane again as OAE442.

It will reportedly fly back to Honolulu on Thursday 13 July.

It is assumed that the personnel and equipment have come to Rockhampton to participate in the upcoming joint Military Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023 (TS23) which is set to kick off in few days time.

Sincere thanks to Scott H, John L and 'IAD' for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos of another great visitor to Rocky!
