On Friday 28 July, four Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) British Aerospace (BAe) Hawk 127 lead-in fighter jet aircraft arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville to participate in joint military Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023 (TS23).

They arrived in two flights of two as "Raptor" and then "Phantom".

The four Hawks were identified as A27-19, A27-02, A27-20, A27-15 and are flown by the RAAF's Number 79 Squadron at RAAF Base Pearce near Perth in Western Australia.

They had flown across from there to Townsville on Wednesday 19 July and have been operating until now from there.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 28 July, Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk 'Romeo' helicopter N48-015 (Code 915) as "Tiger 15" was also spotted visiting Rockhampton Airport once again.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
