Singapore Armed Forces Packing-up Exercise Wallaby - An Antonov AN-124 Freighter Soon (?)

It was noted this week by eagle-eyed Rockhampton Airport plane spotters that the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters were being prepared for departure from Rockhampton back to Singapore.  'IAD' took these photos below last week.

Rotar blades were being removed and other preparations were being made for transport of the choppers home to Singapore as the end of the Singapore Armed Forces Exercise Wallaby 2012 nears.

This means that an Antonov AN-124 freighter is expected back into Rockhampton some time soon to pick up the choppers.  Stay tuned to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog via Facebook or Twitter for the latest updates on the arrival of giant freighter.
