Celebrating Another Win Over the Poms with Qantas Airways Boeing B737-800 VH-VXA in Ashes Cricket Colours!

Today - Monday 9 December - the mighty Australian Cricket Team now firmly has one hand on the Ashes urn after they flogged the English Cricket Team in the Second Test in Adelaide.  Along with their win in the First Test in Brisbane, the Aussies now have a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five test match series.  And what better way to celebrate then share some images of Qantas Airways Boeing B737-800 VH-VXA which was rolled out in early November featuring a distinctive Ashes Cricket colour scheme.

The "Now it's on our turf" colours highlight that Qantas is now the official airline of Cricket Australia.

Thanks to the FNQ Skies Blog and to Brisbane plane spotter Brendan B for sharing their lovely photos of this great looking aircraft!  It's a real pity that Qantas currently don't fly into CQ, but since it's such a lovely looking aircraft, and with the Aussies beating the Poms today, I think it's well worth posting!

The Third Test starts in Perth later this week!!
