A Couple of Other Visitors Spotted at Rockhampton Airport

As well as the recent military aircraft and helicopters to call into Rockhampton Airport over the last week or so, there has also been a nice selection of civilian aircraft and helicopters to call in as well including Australian Helicopters Bell 412EP VH-PXY which seems to have taken up residence at Rocky after arriving early last week from Mackay.

Also spotted recently after touching down at Rockhampton Airport was the Gladstone-based Careflight Bell 412EP VH-XCY "Rescue 544".  It is pictured below with the locally-based Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS) Bell 412EP VH-EPR "Rescue 300".

Over the previous weekend, the three Australasian Jet (AusJet) / ROAMES Cessna 206s - VH-XBF, VH-FEN and VH-XHI - were all noted parked and operating out of Rockhampton Airport.  They had been operating out of Gladstone Airport over the previous week - see Blog Post HERE.

Van's RV-8 VH-KVP was spotted on Wednesday 17 June after arriving from Townsville the previous day.

Other light visitors to the beef capital over the last week included New South Wales based Cessna 210 VH-KTE, Toowoomba-based Vanderfield Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH and New South Wales-based Piper PA-28-181 Cherokee VH-PPR.

On Friday 19 June, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-PSU called in twice while on a busy days flight which started and finished in Brisbane.

Finally, Surveillance Australia / Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Cobham Aviation) Dash-8-200 VH-ZZP was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport on Monday 15 June as "Customs 112" from a surveillance sortie.

Some great movements and some great photos!
