Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules A97-465 "Trojan 62" Pops into Rockhampton Airport

On Friday 21 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules transport aircraft A97-465 was spotted touching down at Rockhampton Airport arriving direct from RAAF Base Richmond as "Trojan 62".

After a little while on the ground, A97-465 "Trojan 62" departed Rockhampton Airport and returned Richmond.

And at the time of writing, after dark on Friday 21 June, A97-465 "Trojan 62" has returned to Rockhampton Airport for the second time today, again looking to fly up from Richmond.  It looks to be staying for the night.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 21 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing P-8A Poseidon Maritime Surveillance Aircraft A47-006 was noted completing low-level airwork within the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

It looked to fly up from and then back to its 'home' at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia.  A47-006 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Blackcat 03".

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter 'IAD' for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
