On Tuesday 11 May, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-005 was noted completing a missed approach at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

It was flying as "Wedgetail 04" and came up from RAAF Base Williamtown direct to Hervey Bay. After the airwork, A30-005 then flew South and landed at RAAF Base Amberley before eventually returning to Williamtown.
