On Wednesday 14 January, Multiquip Poultry / Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100EV bizjet VH-MQX as "Navair 131" visited Moranbah Airport from Bankstown.

And Careflight (NSW) Raytheon / Beech 400XT Nextant bizjet VH-OVS as "Careflight 46" landed at Longreach Airport from Newcastle (Williamtown) and then departed to Darwin.  It is due to head overseas to Bali later.

Careflight (NSW) Raytheon / Beech 400XT Nextant Bizjet VH-OVS as "Careflight 46" Pops into Mackay Airport - Plus More!

On Monday 17 March, Careflight (NSW) Raytheon / Beech 400XT Nextant bizjet VH-OVS as "Careflight 46" was noted visiting Mackay Airport.

It looked to arrive from Bankstown and then depart to Newcastle (Williamtown).

While Bowenville based (operated by Real Time Aviation - Brisbane) Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ also flew up to Mackay Airport but from Brisbane.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 18 March, VH-JSZ departed Mackay Airport for my local Clermont Aerodrome and then to Dalby.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 19 March, VH-JSZ flew back up from Dalby to Clermont Aerodrome and then Mackay Airport before flying down to Archerfield.

Vee H Aviation (Link Airways) Beech B200GT Super King Air 250 VH-VEW was back on the run up to the coalfields, flying into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane before then heading out to Oaky Creek Mine site, Clermont Aerodrome and Collinsville Aerodrome.  It then continued to the Newlands Coal Mine site and then back to Brisbane.

And Seair Pacific (Istlecote) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX VH-LYI flew up from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport and Maryborough Airport to Middlemount Aerodrome.  It then flew back down to Hervey Bay Airport.

Recently Registered Cessna 510 Citation Mustang Bizjet VH-PAC Spotted at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 27 January, recently registered Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-PAC was spotted visiting Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.  It looked to arrive from and then later depart back to the Sunshine Coast where it seems to be currently based.

Of interest, the Victorian-registered Citation Mustang is 100th off the production line and looked to previously operate in Thailand as HS-IOO.

While Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ visited Emerald Airport from Archerfield and Warwick.

LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" has visited Rockhampton Airport in the evening from Brisbane.

And Careflight (NT) Raytheon / Beech 400XT Nextant bizjet VH-OVS popped into Longreach Airport while flying down from Darwin to Sydney as "Careflight 46".  It is due to return to Darwin from Sydney but via Mount Isa on Saturday 28 January.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 27 January, Cessna 208B Grand Caravan VH-RTC departed Rockhampton Airport for Red Rock Station near Comet - where it is based. It then continued down to Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 28 January, VH-RTC returned to Red Rock Station and then Rockhampton Airport.

The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville before later departing to Brisbane.  It then returned North and called back into Rockhampton Airport before departing direct to Cairns.

Bunderra Cattle Co Piper PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage VH-KNV departed Rockhampton Airport for Boulia and then Alice Springs.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 28 January, VH-KNV departed Alice Spring and returned to Rockhampton Airport.

And New South Wales-based Beech 58 Baron VH-JML visited Bundaberg Airport, flying up from and later back to its Lismore base.

Avcair Cessna 425 Conquest 1 VH-BSM Calls into a Couple of CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Thursday 9 December, Brisbane-based Avcair Cessna 425 Conquest 1 VH-BSM was noted visiting a couple of Central Queensland Airports.

It looked to fly up from its Archerfield base to Middlemount Aerodrome before then flying up to Collinsville Aerodrome and Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport.

VH-BSM then reversed these flights all the way back down to Archerfield.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 9 December, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Cessna 208 Caravan VH-PSQ completed yet another local flight out of and back to Rockhampton Airport before it departed there for Cairns.

VH-PSQ had arrived into Rockhampton Airport at the start of the week.

And the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ called into Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport from Brisbane before it then continued up to Bundaberg Airport.

UPDATE!  On Friday 10 December, VH-SGQ departed Bundaberg Airport and returned to Brisbane.

Finally, also on Thursday 9 December, Brisbane-based Hewitt Cattle Australia P/L SOCATA TBM 700 VH-PGA called into Moura Airport from Archerfield before it then continued to Cloncurry and Alice Springs Airports.

And Raytheon G58 Baron VH-CUY departed its Cloncurry base for Tobermorey then back to Lotus Creek and then Mackay Airport.

UPDATE!  In the middle of March 2022, VH-CUY was re-registered as VH-WFE and finally departed Mackay Airport for Bankstown.

Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Qld) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK Back on Duty and at CQ Airports

After a period of maintenance in Cairns, on Monday 16 March, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK was back on duty completing prisoner transfer flights and calling into some Central Queensland Airports.

It was noted visiting Rockhampton Airport while flying down from Cairns and Townsville to Brisbane.  VH-PSK later flew back to Townsville and then Cairns.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 18 March, VH-PSK was back in the air visiting Rockhampton and Bundaberg Airports, along with Townsville Airport while on a busy day of flying out of and back to Cairns.

UPDATE!  On Friday 20 March, VH-PSK was back in CQ one more time, visiting Rockhampton Airport twice while flying up and down the coast between Cairns, Townsville and Brisbane.

Careflight (NT) Raytheon / Beech 400XT Nextant Bizjet VH-OVS "Careflight 46" at Longreach Airport

A surprise visitor into Longreach Airport on Saturday 14 December with Careflight (NT) Raytheon / Beech 400XT Nextant bizjet VH-OVS arriving directly from Sydney.  It had arrived into there from its Darwin base via Mount Isa the previous day, and was presumably heading 'home'.

It later departed to Darwin and was noted using the flight number and radio callsign of  "Careflight 46".

VH-OVS is one of three Raytheon / Beech 400 corporate bizjets that Careflight operate in the Northern Territory alongside an Agusta AW139 helicopter and six Raytheon / Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Airs.

Navair / Wagga Air Centre (Mabena) Piper PA-31 VH-HUW Arrives into Longreach Airport - Plus More!

On Tuesday 2 April, Navair / Wagga Air Centre (Mabena) Piper PA-31 VH-HUW was noted arriving into Longreach Airport from Roma Airport.  It has flown North from its Wagga Wagga base in New South Wales to Roma Airport via Orange on Monday 1 April.

VH-HUW looks to be using the flight number and radio callsign of 'WA658' / "Wagga Air 658" on all of its flights.

Meanwhile, calling into Rockhampton Airport, also on Tuesday 2 April, Edwards Coaches Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-OXY was noted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Melbourne (Essendon).  It later departed to its Armidale base in New South Wales.

Finally, back out in the Central West in recent days, over the weekend on Sunday 31 March, Barcaldine-based George Bourne & Associates Beech / Raytheon A36 Bonanzas VH-COR and VH-CCY were noted flying together around Longreach.

While Longreach-based Air Central West Beech 58 Baron VH-TNR has been busy over the last week or so flying in and out of Longreach Airport to all manner of locations including Toowoomba, Stonehenge, Roma, Cunnamulla, Windorah and Jundah.

Of interest, VH-TNR has been registered to Air Central West since 1978!

Great Photos of Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Qld) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK Passing Through Rockhampton Airport

We post quite regularly about the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK visiting Central Queensland Airports around three times per week operating prisoner and other passenger transfer flights.

Local photographer Russell P has yet again kindly shared with us some stunning photos this time as VH-PSK visited Rockhampton Airport one recent Monday.

Of interest, VH-PSK was delivered to the Queensland Police Service in 2005 after the (now) almost  20-year-old Raytheon 1900D (CN: UE-311) spent time operating in France.

After rolling off the production line, the 1900D was spotted at Farnborough (England) (below) in 1998 wearing the registration marking N10984 and wearing the titles and livery of Proteus Airlines (France).

It was then delivered to French operator Occitania Jet Fleet and operated with the French registration marking of F-GRCD until 2003.

The 1900D was then delivered to the Queensland Police Service via Brisbane.  It has since been re-painted into the livery above during the latter part of 2015.

A Couple of Night Time Bizjet Visitors to CQ Airports incl Careflight (NT) Beech 400A VH-EIH "Careflight 44" at Longreach Airport

A surprise visitor into Longreach Airport late on Friday 29 June with Careflight (NT) Hawker Beechcraft 400A bizjet VH-EIH  arriving directly from Sydney.  It had arrived into there from its Darwin base via Alice Springs and Broken Hill over the course of Thursday 28 June and Friday 29 June, and was presumably heading 'home'.

It later departed to Darwin and was noted using the flight number and radio callsign of  “Careflight 44”.

VH-EIH is one of three Raytheon / Hawker Beechcraft 400A corporate bizjets that Careflight operate in the Northern Territory alongside an Agusta AW139 helicopter and six Raytheon / Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Airs.

Of interest, also at Longreach Airport but on Thursday 28 June, the familiar sight of Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM was back, calling in from Cairns and Vanrook Station and later departing to Bankstown.

Meanwhile, at Rockhampton Airport, there were a couple of interesting arrivals very late also on Friday 29 June, which we presume were on medical retrieval flights. 

Business Aviation Solutions Dassault Mystere Falcon 50 VH-FJQ arrived from the Gold Coast and later departed directly to Auckland in New Zealand.

While the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ completed a return flight from and back to Brisbane.

RFDS Beech King Air VH-FDL "FlyDoc 493" First Visit to CQ at Mackay Airport Friday Night

As me mentioned on our Facebook page, Royal Flying Doctor Service Beech B200 King Air VH-FDL made (I believe) its first ever visit to CQ arriving at Mackay Airport late on Friday 8 July from Townsville.

The normally Cairns-based King Air returned to Townsville and then Cairns under the cover of darkness and into the wee small hours of Saturday 9 July.

VH-FDL uses the radio callsign of "FlyDoc 493".

Of interest, VH-FDL is one of several new or re-registered aircraft I've noticed operating for the RFDS around Queensland in recent months including King Airs VH-FDF (new), VH-NQF (ex VH-FDF), VH-FDO and VH-FDN, along with Pilatus PC-12/45 VH-NQH (ex VH-FDC).

Also a Couple of Nice Super King Airs at Gladstone Airport This Week - VH-WXC & VH-WCN

Certainly a busy couple of days at Gladstone Airport this week with a couple of nice corporate Super King Air turbo-prop aircraft also visiting the industrial city over the course of Tuesday 23 June and Wednesday 24 June.

Both aircraft are operated by Avcair (Sutherland Aviation) and called in from the South on Tuesday 23 June.  After overnighting, they both departed in quick succession, again heading South, possibly to Archerfield.

Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-WXC taxied and departed first.

This was closely followed by Beech B300LW Super King Air VH-WCN.

A Few Other Plane Spotting Photos from Gladstone Airport Over the Last Week

Overall, it has been a relatively quiet week for plane spotting at Gladstone Airport over the last week, although local spotters Jamie C and Tash C have still managed to capture some great photos of some of the action.

Shadforth's Plant Hire Raytheon (Beech) C90A (C90B King Air) VH-JEO popped into Gladstone twice over the course of Wednesday 15 January and Thursday 16 January.  It passed through Gladstone on its way North to Mackay.

Also on Thursday 16 January, Avcair (Sutherland Aviation) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-WXC popped into Gladstone.  Its exacts movements are unclear.

An interesting visitor on Sunday 19 January was Norfolk Island-based Cirrus SR22 VH-PNB which was captured departing for parts unknown.

Several helicopters were also spotted last week, with three spotted at Gladstone Airport also on Thursday 16 January, including Townsville Helicopters Robinson R-44 VH-EUC passing through.

Bell 206 VH-FYH - showing as being operated by Stirling Consolidated - was also spotted at Gladstone on Thursday 16 January.

Meanwhile, locally-based CareFlight Queensland Bell 412EP VH-XCY was captured departing Gladstone Airport later on Thursday 16 January.

Finally, some of the commercial action at Gladstone Airport included QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXK, which was captured visiting on Thursday 16 January.

And QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOI - which still wears its bright 'Destination Tamworth' - Tamworth Country Music Festival colours - was captured making a spectacular departure shortly before sunset on Thursday 16 January as well.
