Qantas Airways Boeing B747-400 VH-OJD Returns to Rockhampton Airport on Wednesday

Qantas Airways Boeing B747-400 VH-OJD returned to Rockhampton Airport on Wednesday 6 June.

The jumbo operated as QF1352 from Adelaide and touched down in the early afternoon.  There was a suggestion that the aircraft had major technical problems, and after a short delay, VH-OJD departed just on dusk as QF6162 to Darwin.  Ben O was on hand and managed to catch the jumbo as it departed - and made a spectacular right-hand turn for Emerald and thence Darwin.

In a bonus for plane spotters, the jumbo was 'shadowed' by another Qantas aircraft - Boeing B737-800 VH-VXH which also arrived from Adelaide as QF1350.  It later departed back to Adelaide as QF6165.
